We were asked to build a race engine for a 1954 flat front Morgan by a customner that races in the Morgan Challenge cup.
The engine that was chosen was a 3.5 litre Ford Cyclone with variable valve timong on the inlets only. ( The later engine has VVC on both cams)
We started with a standard base engine and added a new steel crank, rods, pistons and Kent Cams.
The flywheel and clutch were bespoke and manufactured by TTV.
For the induction system we chose to use Jenvey Throttle Bodies with a linkage that we manufactured in house.
The ecu we chose to use was an Omex 710 as it could control the VVC.
We tested the engine on the superflow dyno and after full mapping we ended up with 400.1BHP .
We feel there is still more to come from the engine and are now investigating the later twin VVC engine and head porting.
